New puppie pictures!

Today the puppies turns 12 days old!

A couple of days ago they all started to open their eyes :) and instead of dragging themselves they are now walking.

We have also cut their claws for the second time, it was a lot of claws :) all the puppies have been dewormed for the first time.

Both Asla and her babies are doing great !

Ghali Grand Cinamon "Vilho" keeps on Rocking the rings!

At the all breed show in Valmiera, Latvia at Vilho´s 15 months celebration, he gained the following results!

BOB JUNIOR with HP (Honours prize) JUNIOR CAC, BOB and BIG-5!

LATVIAN and BALTIC JUNIOR CHAMPION!

He has now the following titles, Estonian Junior Champion, Lithuanian Junior Champion, Latvian and Baltic Junior Champion!

Way to go Vilho and Nina! we are so proud of you :)

Today it´s day 63 in Aslas pregnancy, and her belly measuring 97 cm.

She is doing great, and her tail is wagging all the time :)

At the International Show in Fredericia Denmark.

Caspian entered the juniorclass and was the only junior male that received Excellent :)

He ended up as 3rd best male :) one placement from the CAC. Really great news Annelie we are so proud of you!

Judge this day was Erling Kjaer Pedersen Denmark.

Caspians lovely critique in Swedish: Gott huvud och uttryck, Välansatta öron, utmärkt nosparti, god hals och rygg.

Hon har naturligtvis helt rätt för sig, hon såg inte klok ut i den, vad tänkte jag på?

Jo att den skulle värma hennes mage eftersom den täcker hela, det får bli obtrack fleecen nästa gång.

At the International Show in Vilnius Ghali Grand Cinamon "Vilho" gained the title Lithuanian Junior Champion!

Jag har uppdaterat med bilder från vårt julbord på Grand hotel :) och lite andra blandade bilder >>

I går var vi med på en viltspårs tävling med Safir hos Lisa och Martin, som Birgitta Jönerus hade arrangerat.

Safir slutade på en fjärde plats utav åtta tävlande vilket vi är mycket nöjda med, då det var ett tag sedan vi var ute i spåret :)

Hennes pris blev ett mjukis djur som låter, eftersom hon älskar leksaker blev den väldigt uppskattad :)

När alla var klara i spåret var det dax för prisutdelning och för oss tvåbenta fanns det korv med bröd, kaffe, glögg och kakor :)

Stort tack till Birgitta för en rolig tävling och till Lisa och Martin för er gästvänlighet :)

Yesterday we went to Lisa and Martins countryplace ( Primus owner) for a fieldtracking competition arranged by Birgitta Jönerus.

Safir ended up in fourth place out of eight, which we are pleased with :)

Obedience training!

2009-12-17

We have been training obedience with Awena, Hannibal, Saros and Awenas son Dexter.

I have only been training obedience with Safir, and because she was in heat I could not bring her.

So I took Awena with me, it was the first time we trained obedience so I had no expectations.

But I was pleasantly surprice :) she was pretty good and she seemed to like it :) but Awena does almost do

everything for a bit of candy :)

From now on I will always bring Awena with me when we should practice obedience.

This was also the first time for Hannibal, and he did also great.

Lolo have only practice obedience with Hannibals son Conan, now she has two to practice with :)

This was not the first time for Saros and Dexter, they have practice before, and they are really good at it.

Dexter wanted to play with Awena, and did not listen as good as he usually do :) so cute!

What have I learned from this, well I was so wrong about Awena, I thought that she would not

like to practice obedience, but she did :)

They both seemed to like each other :) Minos licked Aslas ears and head all the time :) And she loved it!

Now we keep our fingers crossed for a bunch of puppies, to be born in early February :)

Aslas son "Primus" has been on a hunting trip with Martin and big brother King!

This time it was elk and wildboare hunting :)

Julutställning i Danmark!

I helgen var vi på utställning i St: Merlösa, Danmark!

"Hannibal" Ghali Atif af Argos fick Excellent 2 i öppenklassen och 2:a BHKL, en placering från det Danska Championatet!

Awenas son "Caspian" Ghali Grand Caspian fick Excellent 1 i juniorklassen och slutade 4:a BHKL.

"Safir" Ghali Golden Blue Bell fick Excellent 2 i unghundsklassen och blev oplacerad i bästa tik.

Vi vann bästa uppfödare utav fem grupper med tre kombinationer, Hannibal, Caspian och Safir :)

Antal anmälda i rasen 62 stycken, domare denna dag var rasspecialisten John-Sigve Berg

Vi hade ingen kamera med oss, vi får se om Richard fick oss att fastna på  något :)

Hahaha..... vi behöver nog öva på detta! och det är ju bra om jag kan hålla mig vaken också :)

 

I går blev "Jamba" Ghali Adani af Argos inkallad på ett riktigt eftersök, det var ett vildsvin som var skadat.

Jamba ville gå åt ett håll och jägaren tyckte att han skulle åt andra hållet.

Dom tog tillbaka Jamba från start, men han gick fortfarande åt samma håll, och mycket riktigt hade han rätt,

duktig kille, man ska lita på hunden.

I dag har vi varit hos veterinären med Asla och gjort en hälsoundersökning inför den kommande parningen.

Resultatet var, utan anmärkning på allt :) och veterinären var även väldigt nöjd med vad hon såg, päls, lynne etc.

Today we have been to the vet with Asla and made a health control before the mating. The result was UA :)

Last weekend came Awenas son Zulo and visited us :)

He had grown a lot since we last saw him, when we were visited him in Denmark.

We went for a long walk with the dogs, and after the walk we went home to our place for some coffee.

We went to our girls new favorite place, for a long and lovely walk in the sun.

We have no pictures from our walk :( because we forget to put in the battery in the camera :(

From now on I will never forget the battery.

Last week we met Aslas son Saros, we are trying to find new places to go on our morning walks.

And this day was the first time that Saros joined us at the girls new favorite place, and he just loved it!

Great news from the Netherlands :) Awenas daughter "Xola" Ghali Grand C`Xola

Excellent 3 out of 17 females in  juniorclass at the Dutch Rhodesian Ridgeback Club in Zaltbommel.

Xola was the youngest of them all, well done Iva and Xola :)

Vilho entered a group show in Karkkila and became 2nd best male with his first CAC!  well done Nina and Vilho :)

And I have been on a tracking weekend with some of Awenas puppies!

" Cenna" Ghali Grand Cenna and " Chico" Ghali Grand Cap Cape has passed the aptitude test for fieldtracking! well done :)

Thank you all for a very nice weekend in the woods :)

And the sire to our upcoming litter "Minos" African Hunter´s Amazing Baskervill entered a show this weekend.

And became best male BOS with CAC,CACIB and got the title FINUCH! really great news Annika :)

We have received some new pictures of Awenas sweet puppies :)

First out is Awenas sweet daughter Cenna, she really enjoys to swim :) and she is a great fieldtracker as well.

Cenna the waterbeast :) here with her cousin " Kimba " Emoyeni´s Ice Age Adanna

Cenna and Kimba plays every day, and they are practising obidience and fieldtracking together :)

Awenas son Zulo lives in Denmark, he has injured his left leg when he was playing in the woods.

And was sewn with eight stitches, but he feels good and everything has healed nicely :)

He also goes on obidience with his mum Jette.

We have had a great show weekend :) Hannibal won the championclass out of 10 competing.

"Bosse" Ghali Asani af Argos 2nd in championclass with CQ and "Primus" Ghali Akili af Argos 3rd in championclass :) with CQ

Hannibal went all the way to best male and BOB! His first outdoor show and his 3rd show this year, really a great come back :)

Bosse ended up as 3rd best male :)

Awenas son "Caspian" Ghali Grand Caspian 2nd in juniorclass with CQ.

"Millie" Ghali Golden Belamie 3rd in intermediateclass with CQ out of 21 competing.

Awenas son " Vilho " Ghali Grand Cinamon gained very good in juniorclass at the International Show in Tervakoski!

Only one male and one bitch gained excellent, and they were already champions.

Vilho was the only junior or young male to get very good, others got good.

There was no CAC given that day, judge: Niels Brandstrup.

Well done!

At the CAC/CACIB Show in Rotterdam Awenas daughter " Xola " Ghali Grand C`Xola receives 1st Excellent - Junior CAC!

Xola has participated in four shows as a puppy and become all times best puppy BOB x 4!

Yesterday she participated for the first time in juniorclass, with a brilliant result, best junior out of 8 females.

Iva told me that the judge was terrible! they were not allowed to use candy, and she wanted them to stand natural.

But nevertheless she loved Xola :)

We are so happy and proud :)

Only two more points to go for Xola´s Dutch Junior Championchip :)

Awenas son " Vilho " Ghali Grand Cinamon first junior classes went very well :)

At the Baltic Winner Show in Tallin on saturday he got Excellent, judge Svetlana Fintorova.

On sunday in group 6 specialty he gained Excellent 2 and was 4th best male :) only 9 months, judge Ivana Bakal.

We are so proud and happy for you!

Bara tre dagar in i sin juniorklass gick båda "Göteborgsgrabbarna" och gjorde kanonresultat. Fantastiskt bra jobbat!

Åse, pratade med Tina och hon var så stolt och glad över din prestation, det är givetvis vi med. GRATTIS!

At the Swedish Kennel Clubs National Show in Askersund, Ghali Adani af Argos " Jamba " became 2nd best male in openclass with CQ, and ended up as 4th best male :)

At the Swedish Kennel Clubs International Show in Ronneby, Ghali Awena af Argos was placed as 3rd best bitch, Ghali Golden Bartess " Sighsten " won the intermidiate class with HP ( honours prize )

and his sisters Ghali Golden Belamie " Millie " was placed 2nd in intermidiate class with HP, and our Ghali Golden Blue Bell " Safir " was placed 3rd in intermidiate class with HP.

The judge this day gave only one male CQ and our Sighsten was the only male he gave HP.

Both males and females went out this day with blue and yellow ribbons.

         Asla, Awena, Jamba and Sighsten has recieved three straight 1 st prize in a row, that means that they now

         are Swedish Fieldtracking Champions :)

         And our sweet " Safir " Ghali Golden Blue Bell managed to recieved her 4th 1 prize in a row for judge

         Björn Johansson :)

 

  Asla: 4/8 ( ordinarie ) Roger Skoglund, 42p. En tik som arbetar i ett perfekt tempo, har några små avvikelser men löser sitt spår bra.

           6/8 ( rörligt ) Björn Johansson, 37p. Ett väl genomfört prov av en tik som hela tiden vet var spåret går, i ett lugnt tempo, Viltspårschampion idag.

on the 2nd and 3rd of August.

Arja lives in Norway, more information about the mating at Kennel Jambo Jema, but since they still are in Sweden

and have a long journey back home ( 250 mil ) it will take a while.

We had a dear visit from Awenas beautiful son Chico, during the Falsterbo Horse week.

When we drank some coffee, the dogs played in our garden. We tried to take some pictures, but it was very

hot, so Chico and the girls were not in the mood for a photo session.

But we managed to get some pictures of Chicos beautiful head :)

Ghali Grand Cinamon " Vilho "

We have received a lot of new pictures of Awenas beautiful son Vilho how lives in Finland, thank you Nina :)

Vilho´s puppy show results have been amazing, 7 shows and 7 times BOB-puppy!

And not to forget the BISS-puppy in the Ridgeback Specialty!

His behaviour has been perfect in every show, he just knows how to act in the showring, one judge said that

he is a pro already :) she liked the way he act in the ring :)

Next time it will be time to enter the juniorclass, exciting!

Vilho have also tried lure coursing, the track was very short and easy. But before he is going to more coursing

trials, he will be x-rayed to make sure that everything is ok, in hips and elbows.

At the Swedish Ridgeback Specialty Show 2009!

Ghali Awena af Argos was placed as 4th best championbitch in a large championclass ( 14 ).

In the best bitch class Awena was picked out in the top 10 which means a placement :) she was 6th best female totally! out of 80 bitches :)

And in the same weekend at the Swedish KC International Show in Ransäter, Awenas brother Ghali Adani af Argos " Jamba " won the openclass

with Championquality and was 3rd best male with his 2nd Swedish CAC! so only one more to go :)

Congratulations Ingvar and Jamba :) we are so proud!!!

The judge only gave out 3 CQ for the males, the top 2 champions and the winner in openclass :)

On Saturday 18/7 the were in all breed puppy show in Heinola, Vilho was BOB- puppy with Honours price and BIG-1 :)

On Sunday 19/7 they continued in Heinola, this time it was the specialty show, and Vilho was BOB-puppy with Honours price and BIS-2 :)

Travel report from the Netherlands!

2009-07-08

Our trip started early on thursday morning, we drove to Denmark and took the boat to Germany.

We drove for about two hours and stopped to let the dogs stretch out and eat some breakfast. After our stop

we continued our trip and our next stop was at McDonalds :) after a big meal we continued our trip to the Netherlands.

In the evening we arrived in Lekkerkerk at the Hotel Restaurant de Witte Brug.

We decided that we would meet Iva, Marcel and Xola, so that the dogs could play, so we meet up at our hotel.

It was so fun to see them again :)

Xola the water princess, she loves to swim and dive in all the water she sees :)

The water was not so clean, here you see how dirty Xola was when she comes out of the water :)

After the playtime we all went back to our hotel for some drinks :)

On friday morning, we had a good steady breakfast and got ready to drive to Iva and Marcel´s house.

We drove to the place were they usually walk their dogs, and this time Yarra and Ferro also come along.

For severel weeks ago we got an email from Jenny from Bamses bollar if we had some pictures of our dogs

that we could send to her. She had an artist Lee Ann Shepard who painted portraits, so we sent some different pictures on both

our girls and some of Awenas puppies.

Yesterday we had the amusing news that they have chosen Awenas daughter Xola :) the picture of Xola is now available on

mugs, pillows, bags, purses, door mats etc.

GHALI AKILI AF ARGOS " PRIMUS" SWEDISH FIELDTRACKING CHAMPION

         Yesterday it was time for Awenas brother Primus to take his 3rd competitive fieldtrack, he passing his test with a 1 st prize :)

         with this he got his 3rd 1 st prize in a row :) just like his brother Ghali Asani af Argos " Bosse "

         At the same day it was time for our youngster Ghali Golden Blue Bell " Safir " first attempt on openclass fieldtrack, and she received

         a 1 st prize on her first openclass track :) we are so happy and proud of you all.

  SUCH GHALI AKILI AF ARGOS " PRIMUS" DANISH CHAMPION!!!

At the International Show in Vejen, Denmark. Awenas brother Primus became best male, BOB and BIG-4 and Danish Champion!

Congratulations Lisa and Martin :)   

And our youngster Ghali Golden Blue Bell " Safir " won the juniorclass with excellent-1. So we got to enter the Best Bitch Class. We had no expectations :) but Safir won the Best Bitch Class and became best bitch, BOS and gaining her first CAC. I am so happy!!!

Safirs brother Ghali Golden Bontell " Saros " became 2:nd best juniormale with excellent :)

So all three who competed in Denmark yesterday, did great :) we are so proud :)

We keep all our thumbs and paws for our friends who compete in Vejen today!

Awenas sister Ghali Ainra af Argos " Inra " have given birth to six healthy puppies one male and five females :)

They all have correct ridges:)

So far no tail kinks, DS or other faults have been found. All puppies have found new homes :) both Inra and her puppies are doing great :)

She showed her teeth to the judge and stood still when he looked at her.

Xola 1st very promising and Best Baby in Alkmaar!

Xolas critique: Extra ordinary beautiful female. Nicely build. In very good shape. Very feminine head.

Beatiful dark eyes. Brilliant neck length. Perfect angulations. Good legs and great feeth.

Hopefully her cheast will grow a bit deeper in future.

Because Nina was travelling by herself, they didn´t get any photos from the show.

Vilho behaved once again really well. Although they haven´t been training that much. Vilho did everything mum

Nina told him to do :)

Vilhos critique: 5 months. Powerful, strongly built dog puppy with excellent proportions and gender. Promising masculine head

good expression. Good neck,topline and body. Strong bone structure. Enough angulated front, very good rear angulation.

Vilho has been on an unofficial match show with mixed breeds, he behaved very well                                                               

and let the judge see his teeth and touch him all over, he didn´t have any problems concentrating among other dogs.

The judge liked him a lot and thougt he has potential :) Vilho got the red ribbon and was placed as number four in

the mixed breed competition :) Nina and Vilho we are so proud over you :)

Tidigt i går morse gav vi oss åter i väg till grannlandet Danmark för att prova lyckan i utställnings ringen.                                   

 Den hölls i Stoubyhallen, Hannibal fick excellent 1 och slutade som tvåa i öppenklassen.

Domare för dagen Per Iversen Norge, antal anmälda i rasen 61 st.

Hannibals kritik

En stor maskulin välbyggd han hund, maskulint huvud, utmärkt hals, mycket god kropp, korrekt över och underlinje

Välvinklad bak, god längd på ridgen, i fantastisk kondition, i rörelserna kunde han ha lite längre steg.

Awena & Lex sönerna Caspian och Zeb!

Hela påsken passar vi Awena & Lex sonen Ghali Grand Ceevine " Zeb " :)                                  

Vi passade på att åka på en utställning med grabbarna, Caspians matte hämtade oss i går morse tidigt.

Det blev en lång dag, och vi var inte hemma igen förrän runt sex på kvällen, både Zeb och Caspian skötte sig utmärkt både

i och utanför ringen :)

Caspian blev BIR valp och Zeb blev andra bästa hanvalp med HP, duktiga killarna :)

Vi försökte att ta en bild på Caspian när vi väl var hemma, men han var mer fokuserad på att kolla in mamma Awena

och eftersom vi har Zeb här i några dagar till, så kommer det bilder på honom så småningom :) men här är i alla fall två bilder på Caspian, helt fokuserad på Awena :)

Ghali Grand Caspians kritik:

Lovande 5 månaders hanvalp av utmärkt typ. Mycket vackert huvud och uttryck. Välformade ögon. Välplacerade öron. Utmärkt hals och rygglinje.

Perfekt ridge. Utmärkt skuldra. Fina framben och tassar. Utmärkt bröstkorg. Välvinklat bakställ. Rör sig lätt och ledigt med bra drive.

Lovande hanvalp på 5 månader. Vackert huvud och uttryck. Väl makerad skalle. Utmärkta proportioner mellan nos och hjässa. Korrekt ansatta öron.

Utmärkt topline. Välutvecklad bröstkorg för åldern. Bra framben och tassar. Välutvecklat bakställ för åldern. Rör sig fritt med bra steg.

Den 5/4 firade vår b-kull 1 år!!! vi träffades i Falsterbo för bus, fika och massor av hundprat :)         

Vi fick kärt besök från Danmark :) Luku´s uppfödare Nada, kom med härligt goda winerbröd :)

Lydnadskurs & Valpkurs!

I helgen var det avslutning på lydnadskursen för Safir, Saros, Sighsten & Brunette                                              

Vi kommer att fortsätta gå för Sanna, vi har lärt oss så mycket under dessa veckorna :)

Det var även avslutning på valpkursen för Cenna, Dexter & Nixon.

I dag var jag med Awena och Lex sonen Caspian och matte Anneli på hans första utställning :)                                                    

Caspian var minst av ridgebackarna bara 4 månader gammal, men skötte sig utmärkt i ringen och sprang så fint

domaren fick både känna och klämma :) tack för en trevlig dag :)

Caspians kritik: Lovande 4 mån valp, Huvud med bra proportioner skalle hals och rygg, goda vinklar runt om, välansatt och buren svans

välkroppad, redan gott förbröst, mycket bra benstomme, korrekt ridge, rör sig mycket moget för åldern.

Valpträff för C-Kullen!

I Lördags hade vi valpträff för Awena och Lex valparna. Vi hade hyrt Storegårds hundpark, www.storegard.se     

Vädrets makter var med och solen sken på oss :) helt enkelt kanonväder.

Först började vi med bus, och Awena tyckte det var så roligt med alla sina valpar, Caspian blev förälskad i mamma Awena

och gick ofta i från sina syskon för att busa och pussa på henne :)

Därefter hade vi tipsrunda för alla tvåbenta, vann gjorde Caspians matte Anneli, Grattis!!! hoppas att vinet smakade bra :)

Sen var det fika dax med bullar och Louise goda äpplepaj, tack Louise för all hjälp med marktjänsten, det var guld värt :)

Sen var det dax att prova på alla aktiviteterna, då fick dom vara kopplade annars skulle nog buset dra för mycket :)

Det var roligt att se att dom provade på alla aktiviteterna som var allt från olika underlag att gå på, agility hinder, olika tunnlar

hoppringar, skramlande kedjor och flaskor.

Vi vill tacka för en super trevlig dag, sköt om er, så ses vi snart igen :)  MORE PICTURES HERE!

Valpkurs & Lydnadskurs!

I går började Awena/Lex valparna som bor i Skåne på valpkurs ute hos Sanna i Sjöbo :)                                            

Det var Cenna, Nixon och Dexter som kommer att gå, men tyvärr kunde inte Dexter närvara första gången

då matte fått influensa :( med på kursen var även Hannibal sonen Conan och hans ridgeback kompis Zenzo.

Vi hade inte tur med vädret det regnade hela tiden, men dom var så duktiga småpluttisarna :)

Därefter var det dax för Safir, Brunette, Sighsten och Saros att börja på sin lydnadskurs, jag är så imponerad av dom

i detta ösregn låg alla plats liggning gång efter gång på första kommandot, och vi fick mycket beröm av Sanna.

Vi fick börja träna på hopp momenten i både LP1 och LP2 och dom klarade det, jag är så stolt över alla två och fyrbenta

det är otroligt roligt att jobba med en hund som bara står och väntar på att få något att utföra :) det här kommer vi absolut att fortsätta med.

Så vi ser fram emot att Sanna är med oss på b-kullens träff i april och visar oss alla momenten i LP1 med sina hundar :)

När Jessica och Fredrik var här i somras och fotograferade vår B-kull var Asla och Awena sugna på allt gott som valparna fick för att stå fint :)

Till slut gav Asla upp och la sig under bordet, men matglada Awena hoppade upp på bordet och ställde sig fint, för då får man minsann massor av

gott av Jessica :):) och det fick hon :)

Idag var ett gäng från B-kullen på utställning, Saros, Safir och Milli. Alla skötte sig utmärkt och fick bra kritik, längsta strået idag drog Milli som blev BIR-valp :)

Domare: Christina Daniels, antal anmälda i rasen 13 st, 4-12 månader.
